Our team completed work at the 115th Fighter Wing’s Engine Shop in April 2024 at Truax Field, as KPH continues to serve as a valued partner to the Wisconsin Air National Guard operations in Madison, WI. The existing F-16 Engine Shop needed renovation and exterior modification to support the new F-35 JSF Engine Shop, and we got to work in June 2023 to help the current building make the transition.

Our work at the Engine Shop included the installation of a new 7-ton gantry crane on the exterior and a 5-ton bridge crane on the interior within the maintenance bay, interior renovations for a new NDI Lab, and renovations to the restroom and office areas. We also provided the 9,000 SF maintenance bay space with new fuel-resistant epoxy flooring. Additional exterior renovations included new overhead doors and openings and infilling existing openings with a metal wall panel system.

Despite some minor challenges associated with renovating an existing building, the project was a vast success. It has been an honor to work with the 115th Fighter Wing, and we’re excited about what’s to come!
