KPH was honored to serve as the general contractor for Family Promise of Ozaukee County, a non-profit organization that has been helping people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless since 2015. KPH worked with the organization to build the Portlight Shelter, a beautiful facility that serves as a temporary home to as many as 20 adults and children at one time. (READ MORE)
The Portlight Shelter development includes shared single and family rooms all with fully furnished kitchenettes and full private bathrooms, ADA rooms, a state-of-the-art community kitchen, play room for children, a community room and laundry facilities. The development was unveiled in the spring of 2023.
Cori Guerin, Family Promise of Ozaukee’s CEO, said, “This was our organization’s single largest project, and we worked hand-in-hand with KPH Construction to design and build a facility as impressive as it is functional for the individuals and families we serve. Despite plenty of supply chain issues, KPH was able to successfully complete the project and help us open a much-needed resource in our community.”
