KPH Construction’s President Keith Harenda is passionate about affordable housing. As the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Hebron Housing Services, the largest non-profit in Waukesha, WI serving individuals and families struggling with homelessness, he knows all too well the challenge of finding available housing. This passion led KPH to partner with KG Development, Partners for Community Development (P4CD), and Care Management (CM) to identify opportunities to build safe, supportive housing to communities across Wisconsin.
This diverse team made up of KPH and KG as the developers, P4CD as the supportive service provider and CM as the property management partner, recently graduated from the first-of-its-kind Wisconsin Supportive Housing Institute created by Wisconsin Housing & Economic Development Authority (WHEDA). The program is designed to expand the supply of much-needed housing for Wisconsin’s most vulnerable residents. Through the effort, WHEDA aims to reduce the timeline for building and preserving supportive housing by improving planning and development.
Our team completed 80 hours of targeted training and technical assistance over a five-month period. The institute culminated with a finale at WHEDA’s new headquarters in Madison, where our team presented its project plans to potential funders, stakeholders and community leaders.
KPH is proud to take part in efforts to build much-needed housing. Thank you to WHEDA and CSH for this intensive training. We are ready to serve.
